Shooting stars is a book written by Polly Sweetnam.

It’s an entertaining story about two friends, Lisa and Alice.They go on holiday to an island. When they are at the hotel they see a strange scene: a famous couple of actors who are fighting. They think the famous people are arguing . They are really worried but finally they meet the actors and they become friends.

“Look Alice! There is Matt Lepardi. He’s great! He’s my favourite film star. Our holiday is starting well!”

I liked this book and I recommend it to students who start learning English because the verbal tense is simple present and it’s easy to understand.
