The Hunger Games
xeniacaballero | 17 maig 2013The Hunger Games, a science fiction book, is a story written by Suzanne Collins that has been made into a film because of its success. It is set in a future time where once was North America.
The region is known as Panem, distributed in a wealthy capitol surrounded by 12 districts. The Hunger Games is a kind of reality show celebrated annually. In punishment for the behavior of some people and to remind them how powerful the capitol is. Each district must give one girl and one boy aged between 12 an 18 to participate in the games. The tributes must fight to the death. The star of the story lives in the poorest district, the twelfth. Her name is Katniss. Unfortunately, her sister is chosen but Katniss provides herself as a volunteer to save her. The other boy is Peeta, which is the baker’s son, and who has fallen in love with Katniss in secret. From then on, the games start and after many dangerous adventures, fights and deaths, Katniss and Peeta become the winners.
The plot is rather complicated because you must follow the hole story to understand it. On the other hand, you will be on edge to know what will happen next. The novelist has succeeded in creating an extremely intricate plot. As well as the characters, which are peculiar and lovely at the same time.
To sum up, I would strongly advise you not to miss the opportunity of reading this book. I believe that the writer has made a great work. I love this novel, it is my favorite.
Hope you will enjoy it, I did.

No paris d’escriure! (et convido des d’ara a fer-ho des de Canadà al bloc de batxillerat!)
