Catalonia suffers the worst drought as rainfall has been less than half of what is considered normal for the last six months and reservoir levels are half full.
The government has decided to quickly build a water pipeline for 60 kilometers along the major AP-7 motorway, to supply water to Barcelona. This pipeline will take water from the mouth of the Ebre River.
