2009 has already started and we are just working on the 4th Edition of the English Week. This year we are going to visit California. We will travel from L.A. to San Francisco!! The west coast is waiting for us! If there’s any mum or dad interested in telling a story or explaining us a real experience about a trip to an English speaking country, is very welcome!

When someone brings at school something related to English is great! But when it is also about Halloween it becomes such an event! Last Friday, children from 3rd B enjoyed an afternoon full of surprises!
Is it just me or are the weeks flying by? Halloween is already here! We started to listen to some spooky songs and we are learning new vocabulary. We are really enjoying this autumn festival!! The upcoming week, we are taking home a Halloween surprise! Happy Halloween!

School bells are ringing, loud and clear;
Vacation’s over, school is here.
We hunt our pencils and our books,
And say goodbye to fields and brooks,
To carefree days of sunny hours,
To birds and butterflies and flowers.
But we are glad school has begun,
For work is always mixed with fun.
When autumn comes and the weather is cool,
Nothing can take the place of school.

Last Saturday 7th June, there was an English Language Competition in Santa Coloma de Farners. Enric Maria Macià, a student of 5th grade of Primary, was a finalist. He won an MP4 player. We are very proud of you! Congratulations! If you want to watch Enric’s speech click on the link below.

2nd A & 2nd B finished Unit 5. This unit was about body and illnesses such as headache, tummy ache, earache… We all made great covers for our mini storybooks. Ask your child to tell you the story about a crocodile and his friends. It’s storytime!
