SORTING EVERYDAY OBJECTS INTO DIFFERENT FORCES

Pupils take some everyday objects and sort them in 3 different tables depending on the force applied on them.

Then the PUSH force elements are placed on the blue table, whereas the PULL force elements go on the yellow table. Finally those objects that can be BOTH PUSH and PULL are displayed on the green table.

The underneath idea is that mixing blue and yellow colours we obtain green colour, which has some of the properties related to its two original primary colours. In consequence, visual correspondence is established here to reinforce the studied concepts. See the 3 tables and the choice made by the children.

One example of BOTH PUSH and PULL is a sticker.  You pull it first and  when you put it on a surface, you push it. See pupil showing a circle sticker in order to demonstrate both forces.

The pupils of year 2 have acted out the story of The Enormous Turnip. They perform the pulling chain of characters and finally they get the big turnip working cooperatively as a team.

PROJECTE GEP A LANASPA-GIRALT

La nostra escola Lanaspa-Giralt s’ha inscrit en el programa GEP.  Aquest es defineix com a Grup d’Experimentació per al Plurilingüisme que es posa en marxa per assolir els objectius d’Europa 2020 vers la competitivitat europea. Així s’alinea amb els compromisos de qualitat del Marc per al plurilingüisme del sistema educatiu a Catalunya.

 

Les actuacions innovadores en els àmbits d’organització escolar, disseny curricular i aplicació metodològica a l’aula posen l’accent en una metodologia que no es centra únicament en els continguts apresos ni en la llengua que els vehicula. Es tracta de cercar un equilibri entre ambdós aspectes durant el procés d’aprenentatge (CLIL). Aquestes millores queden reflectides en el nostre Projecte Lingüistic.

La nostra escola aplicarà  el GEP durant dos cursos acadèmics (2016/17 i 2017/18) amb l’objectiu de consolidar el domini de la llengua anglesa en el màxim d’àmbits educatius. Durant el segon curs, tenim la possibilitat de comptar amb una persona assignada com a auxiliar de conversa en llengua anglesa.

Aquest nou plantejament demana la implicació del claustre en diferents activitats i rutines a l’aula per tal de reforçar i augmentar l’aprenentatge de l’anglès en el si de la comunitat educativa.

Els especialistes d’anglès actualment reben una formació que ofereix el Departament d’Ensenyament, la qual tindrà una durada de dos cursos acadèmics, per tal de poder implementar adequadament el GEP a l’escola.

En el nostre cas, hem considerat que les Science són l’àrea més adient per desenvolupar aquest nou projecte. Cal remarcar que ja tenim força experiència en impartir aquesta matèria en llengua anglesa, pel fet d’haver dut a terme d’altres programes plurilingües amb anterioritat, com van ser el PELE i PILE.
