6th year Monday, 8th June

Hello boys and girls! The proposals for this week are explained in the next video:

Welcome to London!

Thank you for telling me about Terrassa! Now it is my turn to tell you about my home city…. Do you remember where I am from? Yes, that’s right London!

  1. London is a very big city. It is the capital city of England. There are 9 million people living in London. That is a lot of people!

  1. London is a multi-cultural city. People from all over the world live in London. Did you know that more than 300 languages are spoken in London!!!

  1. In London you can visit lots of museums. My favourite is the Natural History Museum. It is really big with lots of fun and educational activities. I especially like the Diplodocus dinosaur skeleton.

  1. When I go to London I love to go on a red, double-decker bus! They are lots of fun. Sometimes I also travel by train, the network of trains is called the “London Underground”.

  1. I very rarely travel by taxi in London because it is expensive. The taxis in London are called “black cabs”.

  1. London is the home to lots of famous and rich people, including the Queen of England. The Queen lives at Buckingham Palace.

7.There is an important river in London called the River Thames. I enjoy walking by the river with my friends.

  1. Another important place to visit is Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. This is where the government makes important decisions for the country.

  1. People also love to go shopping in London. There are many, many shops. There is a very famous toyshop called Hamley’s, it has more than six floors, all filled with toys! It is paradise for kids!

  1. And finally, you have to go on The London Eye! It is a big wheel that takes you high up and you can see all of London.

I hope you will visit London! You will love it, I promise.
