ENGLISH THEATRE

On the 10th of April the pupils from P3, P4 and P5 grade saw two plays called: “The three little pigs” and “The wolf and the seven little goats”.
These plays were staged for the students of 3rd Grade Secondary School of Gurb.
The plays were very funny and the vocabulary was appropriated for the kids.
They really enjoyed watching the theatre very much!
Thanks to everybody!!

Clue game 6th grade

This last week, taking advantage of the great weather, we played a clue game in the playground. By playing this game we learnt about the Easter costums in Catalonia and in the countries of our pen-friends; Ireland and Finlad. We also reviewed the use of the past in English and the name of professions.
There were different challenges that needed to be passed to get the next clue, some challenges were really difficult, like decoding an encrypted message to English. The game was all in English, so it was a bit difficult but we learnt while having fun.

Correspondence with friends from abroad

Like in previous years, students of 5th and 6th grade are having correspondence with children from other countries. This year, students talk with other boys and girls from; Sweden, England, Ireland and Finland. We write about our country, traditions or the school and they explain us things from their countries.
It is very interesting and exciting for them to have this experience and learn about other places.
The students from 6th grade also spoke with the pen-friends from abroad through ‘Skype’, they really learnt and had fun!
We have posted some pictures of this experience.

‘My City’ project 5th grade

We have finished a project with the students of 5th grade working in cooperative groups. They have made a mock-up of an invented city; they chose all the elements of the city and created them in group. In order to explain the city they also wrote a leaflet using the vocabulary and grammatical concepts learnt during the process. At the end of the project they presented the project to the classmates in English. After that, students wrote individually another leaflet, but this time of their own village. They send these leaflets to their pen-pals from Sweden and England. These leaflets were very well written, decorated and looked amazing.
They have done really nice works and showed their high creativity and capability to work in groups. Great job!

Congratulations guys!
