Siglo XXI

The city was one of the targets of the attacks of September 11, 2001, in which nearly 3,000 people died in suicide attacks that took place when 19 members of the Al-Qaeda terrorist network hijacked four airliners in including two on American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175, was crashed into the twin towers of the World Trade Center, causing its collapse two hours later. New York is located in the northeastern United States, in the southeastern state of New York and approximately halfway between Washington DC and Boston.
