Halloween is an ancient festival,a Celtic festival. The Celts (the ancient inhabitants of Great Britain) believed that the souls of those who had died that year progressed to the underworld. It was said to be a night when ghosts, demons and witches roamed the earth and people tried to placate them with offerings of nuts and berries. 

Halloween only comes once a year.  Our pupils love Halloween because they can do crafts works. Last month, they enjoyed a lot decorating a cemetery with gravestones and spooky monsters.

Benvolguts pares i alumnes,

Us volem recordar que a 2on comencem a treballar l’escriptura però que en anglès encara treballem centrant-nos en l’oral. Les mestres esperem que els alumnes siguin capaços d’identificar i començar a llegir correctament el vocabulari conegut. També estem treballant l’habilitat de copiar fixant-nos en la ortografia i que progressivament comencin a recordar com s’escriuen correctament les paraules de memoria, tot i que això no es demana fins a finals de curs.
Si us plau, ajudeu-nos animant als vostres fills a repassar amb la web i el blog només les unitats que ja hem fet. També podeu practicar escrivint i llegint una vegada o dues el vocabulari si els vostres fills ja dominen les activitats d’escoltar i saben dir les paraules, però animant-los a que s’hi fixin i sense esperar que ho facin perfecte.
