“Podríem escriure un llibre! Amb tot el que passa aquí!” He sentit a dir aquestes frases en moltes sales de profes d’instituts on la ciutat perd el seu nom, com deia Candel. Els relats de La sonrisa de Platón, van d’això: de fets de la vida quotidiana als instituts de zones marginals. Però tots sabem que la realitat supera la ficció (??),  i aquests retrats semblen més distants escrits en el paper. Anècdotes que expliquen molts professionals cansats, que lluiten dia a dia per tirar endavant la feina. Anècdotes, moltes vegades agres, que són símptoma d’esgotament, perplexitat, impotència, desil·lusió i poca fe en el que es fa. Però els relats de Juan Sánchez-Enciso són més que anècdotes terapèutiques. Són retrats fets amb amor, estimació, sensibilitat i humor. Aquests ingredients tan necessaris perquè la nostra professió tingui sentit, futur i eficàcia.

Després de llegir el llibre em venien al pensament els versos de Salvat: “Vosaltres no sabeu que és guardar fusta al moll…”. I és que aquests relats, potser, ens arriben més al fons a les persones que hem treballat en instituts com “Los Arrabales del Puerto, barrio complicado”, on se situa l’acció d’aquest llibre. Amb el permís de l’autor me’ls faig meus perquè sento que també formen part també de la meva història professional i del meu paisatge. Gràcies.
