Ich bin ein 57-jähriger katalanischer Lehrer, Schriftsteller und Literaturkritiker. Ich bin verheiratet und habe zwei Kinder: eine 23-jährige Tochter namens Rosa und einen 21-jährigen Sohn namens Guillem. Meine Frau heißt Araceli und ist Katalanischlehrerin an einem Gymnasium im Ebro-Delta. Ich lebe in einem kleinen Dorf namens Campredó im Süden Kataloniens. Ich unterrichte Englisch und Deutsch an einer weiterführenden Schule in Tortosa, das sich mitten in den katalanischen Ländern befindet. Ich interessiere mich für Kunst und Literatur. Ich spreche bereits mehrere Fremdsprachen (Englisch, Italienisch, Französisch und Deutsch) und lerne neue (Walisisch und Norwegisch). Ich liebe Fußball und unterstütze den FC Barcelona.

International teams start story-writing

International teams start working collaboratively after dealing with the check-list and the netiquette rules. The task was explained in class by every teacher and students now have to work collaboratively on the story writing. They have to agree on the genre they want to write about, the structure they want to follow as well as respecting the different parts a good plot must include. All that was dealt with in detail in the International online meet-up that took place on Jan 10th. Now it’s students’ turn. Happy writing!

Thread about favourite books

During the last week our students have followed a writing thread about their favourite books. We have added underneath some of their answers.

My favourite book is “El arte de ser nosotros”. It’s a very passional book with a teenager romance story which you can identify oneself with. I enjoyed it so much.

My favourite book is “El principito”. I have read it years ago, but I liked it. I recommend you to read this fantastic book.

My favorite books are fantasy adventure and science fiction. I think they transport me to an imaginary world that allows me to have a creative mind.

My favourite book is “Antes de diciembre”. This book is about a romance history, I like so much, and I recommend you this book because it is very beautiful and passional.

My favourite book is “El mecanoscrit del segon origen” because it was the first book I read seriously and it makes me very nostalgic.

My favourite book is The Lost World by Arthur Conan Doyle. It is my favourite book because it talks about dinosaurs and I like dinosaurs.

My favourite book is “Hábitos Atómicos” by James Clear. This book talks about how little changes in our routines can change a lot in our lifes and the process. With this book we can see the world from another perspective and improve our lifes

My favorite book is ‘Heridas con alas’. I read it a few years ago. I like it because it marked me a lot and I was interested when I read it. There are parts that can hurt but there are others that are very beautiful.

My favourite book is “blue like”. It’s a very interesting book because it reflects on how social media is affecting our society and how social media will affect in the future world.

My favourite book is “el baile de los muertos” by Care Santos.I liked the story so much that I finished the book in two days, it is a book that when you start reading it you can’t stop.

My favorite book is “Culpa Mia” by Mercedes Ron. I like romantic story and it’s very entertaining, and it’s a very fast to read.

My favourite book is “A través de mi ventana” by Ariana Godoy. I liked the romantic story so I finished the book in a very short time. There is a film too.

My favorite book is “A traves de mi ventana”. It is a book about two neighbors, she is secretly in love with him and little by little they get to know each other.

My favorite book is “Los Futbolísimos 1: El misterio de los árbitros dormidos”. I read it when I was 12. I liked this book because I love the football and the story is very interesting.

My favourite book is “Los siete maridos de Evelyn Hugo” by Taylor Jenkins Reid. I loved this book because shows the reality behind Hollywood, cinema and fame. It is easy to read and once you start it you won’t be able to stop.

My favourite book is “El Príncipe De Las Niebla” by Carlos Ruiz Zafón. I like the book because it was the first book I read. I like it is a mystery story and I like that, when you start reading it you can’t stop until you find out what happens.

The writing process

First students’ online meeting

On January 9th, at 19 hours, our first students’ online meeting was held. I daresay it was quite interesting since we could explain all of them what the project was really like. We told them that writing and reading were essential parts of their learning process. We encouraged them to get the most of their writing skills. From now on they will have to follow some steps to organise their stories in groups. They will have to choose the kind of story they will be writing about.

Likewise, students from the four different high schools made an interesting speech about their own schools and cities. They could also play a kahoot game.

The project will definetely be a success! Let’s go!

Netiquette, work from Croatia

In December, we worked on netiquette, copyright and using AI.

Marija Deanković, school librarian, ran a workshop with students on copyright and AI, while Mirta Kos Kolobarić worked with students on Netiquette.

We all had a lot of fun and learned new things.

A Christmas poem

At Christmas we must stretch out love,
fondness and warmth filling our hearts,
flattering chatter with relatives,
cropping friendships with our smiles.
At Christmas we need rest from labors and cares,
leading outlook to infinite paths,
– dainty, caring , cloying hugs -,
calling in sick and hampered of social life.
The new year is coming, up there a star is shining ,
life is kindled with laughter and thrill,
inearthing sorrows far away,
whisteling happily to life, our gift.
In January, the windy winter gets cold!
All hope comes to life, white snow all around!
The school reopens the doors with all yearning,
mirroring young faces who’d willingly eat the world,
learning transcendent values and knowledge.
Now homely Christmas, close to the fire of hope,
later on learning school year,

and beyond happiness hugging us.

Third teachers’ online meeting

On Thursday 9th November, a third teachers’ online evening meeting took place, as there were quite a few things to talk about, such as:

1. Checking tasks so far

2. Closing voting poll for logo & checking which had been the most voted one.

3. Set up the calendar for the months of November, December & January.

4. Organising a future students’ online meeting.

5. Project dissemination.

It was quite a useful session as we set up what we should be doing until Christmas time.
