The city is the “melting pot” wherein Hindus, Jews, Muslims, Parsis, and Christians co-exist happily under the common designation.
This glamorous city has a natural harbor.
During the middle of the 18th century, the British reshaped the city of Bombay with various engineering projects on a large scale, which was followed by the emergence of the city as a major trading town.
Mumbai is among the most well connected cities in India. Extensive rail and road network connects the city to every corner of India whereas airways connect it globally.

Food environments have a major influence on public health and food security in a neighborhood. In this project, students will explore their food environment and create a presentation, including a map, to describe what they saw and learned.
Students can take a walk to explore the food environment or use an online map to gather information.

VoiceThread is the featured digital tool for Unit 2. Students can use this free online tool to create a narrated slideshow of their food environment. Students and teachers from all over the world to work and comment on slideshows collaboratively by adding pictures, videos and voice comments.
