Research on the most favourite kind of sports

Spain has approximately 46,030,109 inhabitants. In this research we will see which the most favourite sports of Spanish people are, according to the latest polls.

I have been looking for information and I have found this poll done by CSI (Centre of Sociological Investigations).

Here you have a graphic of the poll’s results.

The results show us that a 23% of Spanish people love swimming, then a 22% say that his/her favourite sport is football.

Football is a famous sport in our country and a lot of people watch it on TV and also they practise it on their free time as well as basketball.

Then we have a 13% of people who like cycling, a 10% of people who like gymnastics and finally with a 7% we have basketball. The other results aren’t as important as that we have said.

January’s activities

Coffee

This winter I have bought a Nespresso coffee machine for my mother. When I was younger, I didn’t use to drink coffee but now I’m getting used to drinking it. I normally drink coffee in the morning, I put a capsule inside the machine and then the coffee immediately falls into the glass. Then, I mix it with a bit of sugar and that’s all!

In Spain, people drink coffee in the morning or in the afternoon. We have different types of coffee, for example, cappuccino which is my favourite, flat white, caffé late …

Here you have a picture of the coffee that I usually drink.

My favourite painter

My favourite painter is Pablo Picasso. He was born in Spain in 1881 but he lived most of his adult life in France. One of the most famous paintings of Picasso is Guernica which describes the German bombing of Guernica during the Spanish Civil War.

I have chosen this painter because he painted in another way and when you see his paintings you always feel something and sometimes discovering what he wanted to express is a bit difficult.

My favourite writer

I would like to show you my favourite writer whose name is Carlos Ruiz Zafón. He was born in Barcelona in 1964 and he has lived in Los Angeles since 1993.

I have read most of his books. Some of them are about strange happenings but

I love his stories because when you start reading them, you can’t stop until you know the mystery.

He has written a trilogy which consists of “El Palacio de la Medianoche” (The Midnight Palace)

, “Las luces de septiembre”(The lights of September), and “Marina”.

But the most known books are “The Shadow of the Wind” and “The Angel’s Game”.

Shoes I wear at home

Here you have a picture of my slippers. They’re grey and really warm; normally I use them in winter because in summer it’s too hot to wear them.

Many slippers are produced by women. The first part of the production is the cutting of the pieces that they’re going to be our finally slippers, then the women edging and sewing them. The slippers can have different shapes and can be made from different clothes.

One of the most important factories in Spain is located in the region of Castilla- La Mancha.

My favourite place at home & my daily life

Here you have the activities of November :

My favourite place at home

My favourite place at home is my bedroom, of course. It’s the place where I study and do homework but it’s also the place where I relax and listen to music when I have enough time.

It’s really comfortable and like a fairy tale because it has got soft colours as pink or brown and I have some teddies on my bed.

Probably these are the reasons why I like it and I think that it wouldn’t be better than now.

Here you have a picture of it.

My daily life

I’m always busy because from Monday to Friday I have to go to the high school. We start school at nine o’clock and we finish at three o’clock, so we get really tired after six hours of studying. Also, when we arrive at home we have to do the homework for the next day and if we have time we have to study because this year is more difficult than the others.

I also go to an English academy on Wednesdays and Fridays for improving the language and sometimes I meet friends and we play basketball or go to the cinema.

Everyday, I eat for breakfast some toasts and I drink orange juice. Then when I have lunch I eat vegetables, soup and meat or fish (it depends) and of course I eat some desserts.

In Spain we also have a meal called “merienda” and we eat for example a piece of fruit or a sandwich in the afternoon.

Finally, I have dinner before ten o’clock and then I go to bed.

Here you have my timetable:
