Our loved Kirsty from Melbourne has finished her staying in the ZER. We’ve been lucky having her in our English classes and it has been a privilege to count on her to improve our oral English and to know about her country, Australia, so far. It has been a school year full of emotions, learning, exchanging…
La nostra estimada Kirsty de Melbourne ja ha acabat la seva estada a la ZER. Hem tingut la sort de poder comptar amb ella a les classes d’anglès i ser uns privilegiats a l’hora de millorar l’anglès oral i de conèixer molt sobre el seu país, Austràlia, tan llunyà. Ha estat un curs ple d’emocions, d’aprenentatge, d’intercanvi…

6- PREPARING AN AUSTRALIAN PROJECT

The pupils from CS are preparing posters related to important cities and areas in Australia. They are imagining a week holiday in that country: how to arrive there, what they need, what things they can find, where to go and what to do, etc. A lot of researching in Internet, summarizing, writing, copying and printing texts and images for their posters! Hard work!
PRESENTATIONS COMING SOON!
L’alumnat de CS està preparant pòsters sobre importants ciutats i zones d’Austràlia. S’estan imaginant una setmana de vacances en aquell país: com arribar-hi, què necessiten, què hi trobaran, on anar i què fer, etc. Molta recerca per internet, resumint, redactant, copiant i imprimint textos i imatges per als seus pòsters. Treball intens!

Today we’ve eaten Vegemite, a very salty cream on toast with butter. A very famous breakfast in Australia! Yummy!
Avui hem esmorzat Vegemite, una crema molt saladeta damunt de torrades amb mantega. Un esmorzar molt famós a Austràlia! Nyam, nyam! 
4- PUPILS FROM GRADE 4 TO 6 ARE TOURISTIC GUIDES

The pupils from grade 4 to 6 have been the guides for Kirsty in a tour through Menàrguens. They have shown and explained to her the most important places in the village… in English! The other pupils and teachers of the school have been tourists, too. The mayoress has welcomed Kirsty in the village hall.
We hope she has enjoyed the tour and our village!
Els alumnes de 4t. a 6è. han estat els guies de la Kirsty en un tour per Menàrguens. Li han ensenyat i explicat els llocs més importants del poble… en anglès! Tots els alumnes i mestres de l’escola també han estat turistes. L’alcaldessa ha donat la benvinguda a la Kirsty a l’Ajuntament.

Last Thursday 13th we have welcomed Kirsty, our English Language Assistant for all this school year. She’s going to travel through the schools in the ZER with our English teacher. She’ll come to Menàrguens on Thursday mornings!
The teachers and pupils have waited for her in the hall and have given her a surprise. Later, she has told us and shown photos about her country, Australia, and her city, Melbourne. We have made her looooots of questions! How interesting!
Aquest dijous 13 hem donat la benvinguda a la Kirsty, l’auxiliar de conversa que tindrem durant tot el curs. Ella viatjarà per les escoles de la ZER amb la nostra teacher. Vindrà a Menàrguens els dijous pel matí!
Els mestres i alumnes l’hem esperat al rebedor i li hem donat una sorpresa. Després ella ens ha explicat i ensenyat fotos del seu país, Austràlia, i la seva ciutat, Melbourne. Li hem fet mooooltes preguntes! Que interessant!
