Our dear Kirsty from Melbourne has finished her staying in the ZER. We’ve been lucky having her in our English classes and it has been a privilege to count on her to improve our oral English and to know about her country, Australia, so far. It has been a school year full of emotions, learning, exchanging…
La nostra estimada Kirsty de Melbourne ja ha acabat la seva estada a la ZER. Hem tingut la sort de poder comptar amb ella a les classes d’anglès i ser uns privilegiats a l’hora de millorar l’anglès oral i de conèixer molt sobre el seu país, Austràlia, tan llunyà. Ha estat un curs ple d’emocions, d’aprenentatge, d’intercanvi…

7- EXCURSION TO “EL MERENGUE”

Pupils from CM & CS with their teachers, some relatives and a historian from the village, Dolors Domingo, have visited “El Merengue”, an important site from the Spanish Civil War. Kirsty has walked through the trenches and learnt about this terrible part of our history.
L’alumnat de CM i CS amb els mestres, alguns familiars i la historiadora del poble, Dolors Domingo, hem visitat “El Merengue”, un lloc important en la Guerra Civil Espanyola. La Kirsty ha caminat entre trinxeres i ha après sobre aquesta terrible part de la nostra història.
6- PREPARING AN AUSTRALIAN PROJECT

The pupils from CS are preparing posters related to important cities and areas in Australia. They are imagining a week holiday in that country: how to arrive there, what they need, what things they can find, where to go and what to do, etc. A lot of researching in Internet, summarizing, writing, copying and printing texts and images for their posters! Hard work!
PRESENTATIONS COMING SOON!
L’alumnat de CS està preparant pòsters sobre importants ciutats i zones d’Austràlia. S’estan imaginant una setmana de vacances en aquell país: com arribar-hi, què necessiten, què hi trobaran, on anar i què fer, etc. Molta recerca per internet, resumint, redactant, copiant i imprimint textos i imatges per als seus pòsters. Treball intens!

On Wednesday morning, all the pupils and teachers went out to the playground to welcome Kirsty. She will be our English Language Assistant for this year and she’s going to travel through the schools in the ZER with our English teacher. She’ll come to Camarasa on Wednesdays!
After the welcome, we met in the classroom of Infantil and she told us lots of things about her, Australia and Melbourne, her city. How interesting!
Dimecres al matí, tots els alumnes i mestres vam sortir al pati de l’escola per donar la benvinguda a la Kirsty. Ella serà l’auxiliar de conversa que aquest any acompanyarà a la teacher per les escoles de la ZER i que vindrà a Camarasa cada dimecres.
Després de rebre la Kisrty, ens vam reunir tots a la classe d’infantil i ens va explicar moltes coses d’ella, d’Austràlia i de Melbourne, la seva ciutat. Que interessant!
