AQUATIC BIRDS, planning activities
a.- Before the stay at delta de l’Ebre CdA:

Clues, scents and traces that shape the lagoon: what’s in a box? (natural and human-made items).

c.- After the stay at delta de l’Ebre CdA:

Duck’s dinner: aquatic birds avoid competition by feeding on different food items from different habitats. Making a birdy bag containing human tools that do the same jobs as different bird beaks do. Teacher’s notes / Pupil’s material

Water edge cafe: pupils are given a letter from a new restaurant catering for aquatic birds. After birdwatching, recording what they see, and doing the aquatic safari and the duck’s dinner activities, pupils will design an appropiate menu. Teacher’s notes / Pupil’s material

Dancing flamingos: equiped with a flamingo cap, pupils perform a number of activities that mimic flamingo actions and displays. The classs discusses why animals behave in certain ways, and how behavioral adaptations help animals to survive. Teacher’s notes / Pupil’s material
