TITLE

Promoting Gender Equality at School through Sports (Korfball), Arts and Crafts, Music, Games, Theatre gags,Drama…
Many European schools are working on plans to promote educational methods based on the equality between boys and girls, trying to help non-discrimination and incorporating gender equality in the curricula. Gender education needs to continue throughout all educational levels to eliminate gender stereotypes and for breaking down gendered expectations and social demands based on prejudices. The aim of this project is just to stimulate debate and critical thinking about gender equality between boys and girls at school using different areas.

Our pupils should be protagonists by choosing an activity which they think can promote equality between boys and girls. Every school will propose one activity and the students, with the help of the teacher, will think about their own rubric, creating and accomplishing their own goals. Then they will show the other European partners their activity and their conclusions with a video, tutorial, powerpoint… Later, we can watch different videos and materials, created by other pupils and start a class debate, speak about the activities and their conclusions, copy or learn to do one of the tasks… any strategy to foster critical thinking, reinforce their learning and can contribute in any way to eliminate stereotypes, mutual recognition, cooperation and respect in our schools.
