TITLE

The European Day of Languages is an annual event being held on 26 September. This event is a Council of Europe initiative bringing together people throughout Europe in a celebration of languages and cultural diversity. The aim of the project is to celebrate the EDL international. It helps promote understanding and provides fun with languages. The project is based on: exchanging hand-made cards with wishes, singing together in English and national languages, creating online posters which promote foreign languages and encourage people to celebrate EDL. All these activities need to be completed on time, so on the 26th September every partner school can celebrate the European Day of Languages presenting everything that has been made for that special day.

Then, we can print posters and make an exhibition at school. Singing together. We will make a video with children saying “Happy European Day of Languges” in English and national language. We can also sing “Happy birthday” song in English and in national language or “Frere Jacques” song.

Creating a mindmap full of languages. We will make an online collaborative mindmap with words in different European languages – each country will be responsible for its own language and one more they choose to work on.
