We have used the Cooperative Learning Strategy “Numbered Heads Together” (Kagan).
We have asked the difficult question: “What a LOGO is?” Children have to decide the meaning of this strange word… With their heads together (and each pupil one number) they have to discuss and decide one hypothesis and write it in a post-it. And then the teacher says a number and this pupìl have to act as the spokesperson of the team. We draw our first MINDMAP, with the word LOGO they wrote their first common idea (they though it was a “wolf”, a balloon, a board game… then we watched a power point about Logos and everything was easier! A LOGO is a graphic mark, emblem, or symbol designed to aid and promote instant recognition.We see how our first “mindmap” helps us to connect ideas… and now we can create our “logos” for the project taking into account the most important ideas of the project… Here you can see our five finalists…
