WORK PROCESS

All work should be completed within the time limits stipulated on the project which are of a one and a half or two month progression over the school year. Term times and other curricular dates have been taken into account. The work plan is as follows: OCTOBER, 2014 First greetings and introductions by the children. Videos and/or photos of their school, class is expected. For example: “Hello, my name is…..” “This is my school.” “We are in Valencia, Spain.” We can begin with our interaction phase by a pupil asking “What is her name?” etc. A song, chant, rhyme or poem including any relevant vocabulary to the task. ALL WORK MUST BE IN ORAL ENGLISH. At this point, we must also think and design a PROJECT LOGO. Your pupils must submit ONE LOGO per member country and this will be voted for in January, 2015. A continuous evaluation chart will also be posted at the start of the project so that you may post an evaluation for each task during the project. END OF NOVEMBER/BEGINNING OF DECEMBER, 2014 1. Christmas Greetings and Christmas carol (for those countries who celebrate Christmas). For those who do not, an appropriate song IN ENGLISH for this winter period. 2. “COPY ME.” Arts and Crafts for Christmas (or alternative). Each country makes something for Christmas ( example, paper Father Christmas, a tree etc. or animal). The pupils are filmed doing this and giving simple instructions in English. A partner country will then copy it. JANUARY. 2015 We will now vote for the logo which best represents our project. This will take place as follows: END OF FEBRUARY, 2015 ETWINNING MENU. Each country will describe and if possible show, a typical dish of their country or province. This may be an aperitif, salad, main course, dessert. The children will say the ingredients in English and if possible the children could be filmed in their home environment with this food. The finished menu will then be posted showing each dish and its providence. Again, a song using pertinent language to the task in English. APRIL, 2015 PHYSICAL DESCRIPTIONS The pupils must describe another person. Example, there are 3 pupils standing together and another pupil describes one of the children. The others must guess who it is. This could be done via VIDEO CONFERENCE and the partner country could answer “Who is it?” A, B or C? A typical conversation could be: “She is tall, she has long hair, she is wearing…..” Who is it?.. This could also be filmed in the home environment describing siblings or parents. Again, a song or chant. ALL WORK must be in English. MAY, 2015 ANIMALS IN MY COUNTRY. Photos, drawings or models plus an ORAL description of animals in your country (wild or domestic). For example: “This is a ……, it lives in Spain in the mountains. It is brown.” Once more, all work in English plus an adequate song, chant relevant to the task. VIDEO CONFERENCES. You must take part in at least TWO video conferences during the project. One of these could be the description of a person task and/or a collective video conference at a time and date to be established when we might all be able to greet each other at the same time. For example, Peace Day, European Language Day. This date will be confirmed.
