Jigsaw groups for cooperative learning: Our first steps in our project about medicinal plants (rosemary, thyme, oregano…) Choose a `plant and answer easy questions : Can it be eaten? How? How can you care this plant? … We will share information to learn and be able to experience/create something new at the end. That’s not an original idea, we found some beautiful webquests with project ideas shared in http://webquestcat.net/. One of them ( a webquest by Elizabeth Lopez Palma ) inspired us to organize the cooperative team giving these roles: A biologist (find information about the plant) , a photographer (find and take photos), a gardener (how to care the plan), a naturalist (find information about their uses)and a cook (can you eat it? how?). Our pupils have understood perfectly their roles and their duties and we have begun!
