THE BARMECIDE’S FEAST

Once upon a time in the Barnecide’s Palace was living a rich man with his family. Next to the palace, there was a big orchard with plenty of herbs and spices as mint, thyme and others. The owner of the orchard were the Barmecide’s family. Every month in the palace a big feast took place, when they were preparing dinner they realised that there wasn’t mint in the orchard.

Immediately, the owners noticed somebody had been stealing it.

Mr. Barmecide watched out the orchard carefully and one day he caught a man red handed. After that embarrassing situation, the robber bowed and apologised to the Barmecide and explained to him that he was a poor man and his children were hungry because they couldn’t buy any food.

Barmecide, sympathising whit the poor man, decided to offer him to take care of the orchard.

After that moment, there was never lack of mint in the orchard.
