  • crawl
    • Before babies can walk, they can only crawl on their hands and knees
  • creep
    • Everyone was asleep, so I had to creep to my room without making a noise
  • dash
    • It began to rain, and we had to dash into a shop to keep dry
  • limp
    • His injured foot made him limp badly
  • march
    • If you join the army, you’ll have to learn to march
  • slip
    • Be careful, or you’ll slip on that icy pavement
  • stagger
    • He was  completely drunk. I watched him stagger across the road and fall down.
  • stray
    • Don’t stray away from the main group, or you’ll get lost
  • stroll
    • It was such a lovely day that we decided to stroll in the park for an hour
  • trip
    • I’m afraid someone will trip over that piece of wood and fall
  • trudge
    • The exhausted men had to trudge for five miles through the snow
  • wander
    • It’s very pleasant for a tourist to wander round a new city with no particular purpose.
