Here is my own reflecton on that.
HAS IT BEEN WORTH THE MONEY THEY COSTED????
I DON’T THINK SO.
After three months watching how my teacher mates used their ninicomputers, I’ve seen that most of them use them only to contorl their student’s’ assitence to the class, and to manage what we call “incidències”.
In a personal way , only a few, maybe 10 (the younger ones) out of 60 use it to surf the net and check his/her e-mail.
In my opinion that is a PITY!!! and shows that teachers, in my school are not prepared to use ICT in their classrooms.
Am I too pesimistic??? It is true that , at least, most of the teachers in my secondary school, not all of them, at least use a computer once a day!!!!
I still think something should be done to change many teachers’ attitudes about ICT.
