Prepare a short powerpoint presentation about a holiday you went on once (real or imaginary). You can include photographs!!!! Don’t forget to write about weather, activities, destination, food….
Show your powerpoint to the rest of the class. Your classmates will have to listen carefully, take notes and evaluate your speech.
Today you’ll have to fill in the interview grid with your classmates’ answer:
Name
Place
Means of transport
Time
Weather
Things you did
Firts, you will have to work out the questions you will need to ask them. The rules of this activity are that you must use English to communicate. If you need help, you can always ask your teacher.
The first person to interview five different students is the winner. The teacher will ask you to tell about the findings in the third person using the past simple tense.
We have a listening exercise for you. Listen to the song Summercat and try to fill in the blanks!!!!! You’ll have to write a short text about your summer holidays and record your own video or audio file. Your exercises will be posted to this blog.
In this first session you will be asked to produce a short personal introduction. You can talk about your age, family and friends, hobbies, favourite food or daily routines. Then, as homework, you’ll have to record a video or an audio file. Such files will be later posted to our blog ‘Oral English’.
