Bill Sikes is planning to break into a country house and steal the money and jewels. His only problem is that the house is closed at night and only a little boy can get into through a small window. That boy, of course, is Oliver Twist.

One night Sikes, Oliver and Toby Crackit, another thief, walk to the country house. Oliver, very scared, enters the house but he tries to warn the family. Two men appear on the stairs and shoot their gun, Oliver is hurt but he can run out of the house. When Bill Sikes and Toby Crackit see that he is bleeding so badly they escape and leave him on the garden wall. The two servants from the house do not see Oliver, who is unconcious and spends the night alone in the garden.
