In the last ‘Jornades de Llengües Estrangeres’, a meeting that gathers teachers of foreign languages from Catalonia, Carmina Fallada presented a couple of projects with her 2nd ESO students: ‘Developing Key Competences through the use of ICT: E-Twinning and E-pals projects‘.
Sara Martin, Pau Martínez, Manuel Mellado, Marta Morales, Carol Ordóñez, Raul Palomares and Laura Ros presented, in English, some of the activities and tasks we’ve been carrying out and they did a great job.

This term we are learning English through the world of art. We’ve been studying Leonardo da Vinci’s life and works. We found out he was a great inventor. He sketched the first scissors, plane, helicpter, paddle boat and catapult, for instance. So we decided to follow his steps and become inventors for a few days.

Yes, we’d like to welcome you to Salou. Este trimestre estamos haciendo una webquest sobre Salou. Nos hemos imaginado que los alumnos de Herndon con los que hacemos el proyecto ‘E-Pal’ vienen en primavera a Salou en un programa de intercambio.
Les estamos preparando unos itinerarios fantásticos para que disfruten de todo lo que esta localidad puede ofrecerles: buena comida, muchísimas actividades de ocio, pedacitos de historia…

Last course my students also carried out a very interesting project called ‘My digital autobiography’.
After looking for information and photographs about their lives, they prepared oral presentations. With this project we learned a lot from each other and it also helped foster a sense of community. They did a great job!!
